Every Damon rod is individually tested and adjusted in all aspects of assembly and finish to ensure you maximum performance (See more below).  They are covered by an Unconditional Lifetime Warranty.

Damon Ausable Bamboo Fly Rods available at Traditional Angler

Damon's Ausable series of bamboo fly rods combine the style and craftsmanship of classic cane and a modern non-yellowing poly varnish finish for greater durability, flexibility and longevity as well as slicker, stronger, more flexible line guides for increased distance and castablility. The Ausable series also features the following:

  • Genuine Tonkin Bamboo

  • Nickel silver ferrules

  • Titanium carbide line guides for decreased line friction and increased shootability.

  • "Flor" grade cork grip; the highest quality available.

  • The stock seat is uplocking, nickel silver with red tiger maple insert.  We can substitute almost any other wood for the spacer, like cherry burl, maple burl, or amboyna burl.  If the customer prefers, a down-locking, slide band, or up-down slide seat can be chosen.  Just let us know in the special instructions section during checkout, send us email, or phone.

  • Moderate/Fast action tapers.

  • Rod tube.
