St. Croix Fly Rods Avid Spey® Fly Rods

Though already immensely popular, St. Croix completely redesigned the Avid series for 2006. Headlining the Avid’s list of improvements is St. Croix's exclusive Integrated Poly Curve® (IPC®) tooling technology, slim-profile ferrules and a show-stopping canteen-green pearl finish – top-notch features geared to catch fish. Avid’s retooled lineup also includes the addition of three spey rods, designed to tackle big-river steelhead and salmon.

St. Croix Avid Fly Rods

Versatile, with a new and improved smoother action, the new Avids load smoothly and progressively down the blank for a crisp casting stroke and a measure of feel typically reserved for rods twice the price. With models covering everything from spring creek surgery to casting for stripers from the beach, these are great rods to enable passionate fishermen to be their best.
